The combat against fuel poverty and the SROI

This April, the Fundació Campus Arnau d'Escala and GES have finished a study based on the implementation of the SROI methodology to families in situation of fuel poverty living in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. Colloquium about the evaluation of the social and economic impact of social action projects

On 23 March a colloquium was held in the Catalan town of Lleida about the evaluation of the social and economic impact of social action projects. While Dr. Xavier Pelegrí made an introductory speech, Xavier Vallvé, from Gabinet d'Estudis Socials, and Lluís Marroyo, from Foundation Campus Arnau d'Escala, focused their interventions on the SROI methodology. 

 

Promotion of university practices in organisations belonging to the social, solidarity-based and cooperative economy

Barcelona Activa, agency dependent on the Barcelona town council, in the framework of its promotion of the organisations and enterprises belonging to the social, solidarity-based and cooperative economy has contracted out the Gabinet d'Estudis Socials to undertake the technical coordination of a project that intends to achieve that university students have a greater knowledge of these organisations and enterprises by training in some of them during three months. 

 

Poverty, vulnerability and exclusion in Sant Celoni

The town council of the Catalan municipality of Sant Celoni has charged the Gabinet d'Estudis Socials with the elaboration of a diagnosis system for poverty, vulnerability and exclusion in this locality. This comprises two tasks: a report about these phenomena and the elaboration of a handbook that allows this inicial diagnosis to be replicated in the future.
